ProfanityMeter's Privacy Policy Last updated: July 26th, 2026 1. Summary ProfanityMeter ("the Bot") does not maintain its own database of your messages, message content, or word counts. It queries Discord's API live. It does not persist search results after the command finishes running. 2. What Data the Bot Accesses To function, the Bot receives (via Discord's API, under Discord's own Message Content Intent): - Your Discord user ID, to identify which messages are yours. - The list of servers ("guilds") the Bot and you are both members of. - Search result counts from Discord's guild message search endpoint, filtered to messages you authored. 3. What the Bot Stores Nothing. The Bot does not run a database and does not log, save, or export your message content, search results, or word counts anywhere. Query results exist only in memory for the duration of the command and are discarded once the response is sent. Standard operational logs (e.g. errors, which command was run, by which user ID, for debugging uptime issues) may be kept temporarily by the bot host but do not include message content. 4. Data Sharing The Bot does not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party. All processing happens between the Bot and Discord's API. 7. Changes to This Policy This policy may be updated as the Bot's functionality changes. If the Bot ever begins storing data (e.g. a caching layer added later), this policy will be updated to disclose that before the change ships. ## 8.
